As a Latino, I grew up in a very male dominated environment. Unfortunately, it took me some time to truly appreciate the undeniable power woman have in our community, society and our world - not just in our homes.

Today I stand as a proud proponent of female leadership especially in my home.

Seeing Kamala Harris become our first Female Vice President was not only an amazing moment for woman, but also it served as a beacon of hope for the many other groups of disenfranchised communities in our country.
